THE AUGUSTINIAN COMMITMENTS
The Augustinian way of education is characterized by love and understanding. The school is first and foremost a family and a community of friends "having but one mind and one heart on the way to God.” The Augustinian school is a place where community feeling is experienced, where people live together without fear of one another, and where a free and creative exchange of ideas stimulates the learning process.
- As a Catholic School, it is committed to the building of a Christian community by providing an atmosphere conducive to the fulfillment of the Catholic ideals through constant witnessing of Christian values, religious instruction, sacramental participation and related activities, without prejudice to students of other religious affiliations.
- As a Filipino School, it is committed to inculcate love of country and pride in the national culture and traditions, to foster an awareness of Filipino identity in global society, and to develop sensitivity and involvement in civic and social responsibility for national development, while promoting international understanding and interaction with other racial and cultural groups.
- As an Augustinian School, it is committed to establish a meaningful relationship among the different sectors of the school community through genuine friendship and mutual respect in line with the Augustinian theme: “To live in harmony having but one mind and one heart intent upon God.”
- As a Co-Educational School, it is committed to promote a free atmosphere and circumspect behavior among children and youth of both sexes growing up in a natural setting of wholesome interaction.
- As a Service-Oriented School, it is committed to the service of the local community and surrounding areas by providing access to its educational, cultural and recreational facilities for socio-cultural programs and physical health activities.
